What We Believe

Urban Youth Alliance is an indigenous faith-based organization dedicated to serving urban youth and their communities since 1970. Our mission is to train urban youth to lead in the restoration of their neighborhoods, schools, families, and churches, believing the gospel of Jesus Christ mandates us to pursue unity, justice, and transformation in the urban center.

Unity

We believe the church must function in unity across racial, ethnic and denominational lines. (Rev. 5:9)

Justice

We believe the church must exercise it's prophetic voice against injustice to the poor (Isaiah 61)

Transformation

We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ mandates us to participate in all aspects of the transformation of the urban center, and that the gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives. (Micah 6:9)
